ABOUT
Sugar Hill Borneo is a 4-acre tropical farmstay of countless fruit trees located in the beautiful Malaysian state of Sabah. Less than an hour's drive from Kota Kinabalu and situated in Kampung Simpudu, Papar, it offers the visitor a quiet and peaceful retreat from the bustle and rush of city life. One wakes up to the sound of birds and settles in the evening to the soothing song of myriad insects. Home is a comfortable 3 bedroom farmhouse that has been refurbished with the creative reuse of materials such as railway sleepers and used wood panels. Simple but yet tastefully decorated to exude a warm, cosy welcome to all who enter. A tranquil haven indeed for tired souls to unwind and rejuvenate. Our farmstay is an excellent place to sample seasonal tropical fruits such as durians, langsat, mangosteens and more, without the chemicals. It is the perfect stop for visitors en route to towns further north such as Sipitang, Tenom, Lawas, Labuan and even Brunei. Visitors coming that way will also find our tropical farmstay only 35 minutes away from Kinarut and Kota Kinabalu.
OUR ROOMS
The farmhouse has 3 bedrooms, comfortably furnished with double and twin beds. All rooms are well ventilated and screened for a good night's rest. Each room has been aptly named after the fruits growing on the farm. Hence, we welcome you to the Durian Deluxe, the Mangosteen Double and the Jackfruit Twin. Please enjoy your holiday in our farmhouse!

The Fruit Trees
A tour of the grounds and an introduction to the many variety of fruit trees is a must. Fruit season falls between the months of July to December and guests are welcome to sample the different kinds of fruit.

Evening Recreation
As the nights can be quiet, a selection of traditional games is available upon requests. Nothing like a game of cards or gin rummy to while away the hours before bedtime. Last but not least, wifi is available.
